The International Sail Training and Tall Ships Conference 2019 will be held in Antwerp, Belgium.

Voted one of the top 10 most attractive and enjoyable cities in the world by Lonely Planet, Antwerp is Belgium‘s second-biggest city, with a penchant for vibrant fashion, entertainment and architecture. It was a host port of the Tall Ships Races in 2016.

The Sail Training International Annual Conference is always a must attend event and is open to everyone involved in Sail Training for young people. Our attendees include vessel operators, sail training programme providers, future Tall Ships Races host port providers, bidding cities and host ports for future events and representatives from Sail Training International endorsed events.

The conference will take from Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 December 2019.

Asia-Pacific Travel Bursaries

Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand is currently calling for nominations for bursaries to attend the 2019 Conference.

Six individual bursaries, funded by Sail Training International, are being offered to offset costs for successful applicants from either Australia or New Zealand to travel to Belgium to attend the conference. Conditions apply. The nomination close date has been extended to 8 July 2019.

To be eligible for nomination you must be:

• an existing financial member of Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand who has made contributions to Sail Training in Australia and/or New Zealand
  or
• a representative of a financial Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand Operator Member or a Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand Organisation Member
  or
• a young person within the Sail Training community who has the potential and is likely to make a significant contribution to Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand and is a member of Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand prior to commencement of the 2019 conference.
