The International Sail Training and Tall Ships Conference 2018 is now open for registration.  

This year’s conference will take place in Seville, Spain. Occupying the coveted number one spot in Lonely Planet’s Best Places to visit in 2018, Seville is a city abundant in flamenco dancing, gothic architecture and mouth-watering tapas!

Who should attend?

The Sail Training International Annual Conference is a ‘must attend’ event, open to everyone involved in Sail Training for young people:

  • vessel operators
  • sail training programme providers
  • ports hosting or considering hosting a sail training International event
  • representatives of endorsed events
  • anyone with an interest in sail training and tall ships races and regattas.

Conference Location and Accommodation

The conference this year will be held frat the Melia Lebreros Hotel, Seville – a modern conference facility in the heart of the city – and will conclude with a Gala Dinner at the Casino de la Exposición.

The Sail Training International delegation will be staying at the Melia Lebreros Hotel, Seville. The hotel is offering conference delegates a reduced rate should you wish to stay here. Seville also offers a wide range of accommodation to suit all requirements and tastes.

Asia-Pacific Travel Bursaries

Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand is currently calling for nominations for Bursaries to attend the 2018 Conference. Six individual bursaries, funded by Sail Training International, are being offered to offset costs for successful applicants from either Australia or New Zealand to travel to Spain to attend the conference. Conditions apply. Nominations must be received by 13 July 2018.
