Volunteers are an important asset in the tall ship industry, and for Tall Ships Australia and New Zealand. The enthusiasm and dedication of these individuals helps to maintain, open and take vessels to sea, to coordinate events and regattas, and to ensure traditionally rigged sailing ships remain a feature of the Australian and New Zealand maritime environment.

You can volunteer in a range of areas including events, research, editing, web development, photography and finance… just to name a few! Even our Committee volunteer their time to promote, assist and support sail training associations and tall ship operators in their endeavours, and to foster opportunities for young Australians and New Zealanders to discover their inner strengths and potential through a structured adventure at sea.

Build your skills, meet like-minded people from diverse backgrounds, network and find mentors in the industry and attend tall ship events and festivals while helping provide development opportunities for Australian and New Zealand youth.

Anyone 18 years or older can volunteer – please contact us at mail@tallships.org.au.
