Twelve tall ships from Australia and New Zealand were represented at the April Operators Conference held at the Australian National Maritime Museum, Sydney on 14 April 2018.

The biannual Operators Conference is open to everyone involved in Sail Training and Tall Ships in Australia and New Zealand. The program is designed to meet the needs and interests of delegates, and is the perfect opportunity for people in the industry to gather, network, share practical advice, offer each other support and talk to experts.

This year presentation and workshop topics included:

• The Marine Safety Levy Bill (2018)
• Ocean Time Marine Vessel Safety Management Software
• Encounter & Endeavour: An Australasian view of commemorating Cook’s Endeavour voyage in 2019-2020
• Managing a Tall Ship Fleet in Australia
• The Sail Training International Research Grant Fund

The second Operators Conference will be held on 1 September 2018, following the TANZ Annual General Meeting on 31 August 2018.
